Rainforests
The rainforests of South America, the Amazon in particular, are rich sources of animal life. Mammals found here include types of monkeys, giant anteaters, jaguars, many types of bats, and the capybara.
Marine Life
Off the coast of this continent there are many underwater mammals. Many types of dolphins are found in this area, and this is where manatees are often found. There are also several kinds of whales including the orca, sperm, humpback, and blue whales.
