Mammals of Australia
The vast majority of mammals in Australia are marsupials. Marsupials are animals that carry their young around in a pouch after they are born. Marsupials include kangaroos, koalas, and wombats. Australia also boasts a large population of bats. Since Australia is mostly flat lands, there is not much variation from one side of the continent to the other.
